iPods and smartphones in the classroom

That's right, you can bring them to class.  We will be using a tracking app called Strava.  I know what your thinking, and let me clarify right now.  THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOUR PARENTS HAVE TO GO BUY YOU A NEW PHONE/IPOD!!!  If you have one and would like to join in the on-line community, here's what you have to do:

Go here: http://www.strava.com/ and register for a free account.  Please remember your password.

Next, go to your app store/market and download the free strava run app.

Bring your phone/iPod to gym and run with it and track your progress and compete among your fellow classmates.

Welcome Back!



An open invitation to all students, family and staff.

With this new school year upon us, I invite all of us to the following:
Dare to be great.  Do something that you're proud of and that your family and community are proud of.  Be nice.  Inspire others.  Be inspired.  Have fun.  Eat dessert first.  Do something that scares you.  Push yourself beyond what's comfortable.  Make a new friend(s) that you normally wouldn't.  Eat more vegetables.  Put others first.  Do the right thing, especially when nobody's looking and expect nothing in return.  Create your own 'best year ever'.  Watch less TV.  Read a book.  When given the choice to lead, follow or get out of the way; choose to lead and do so with integrity and compassion.

The greatest journey ever starts with one first step.  Have a great year.
